Omul orchestra !

La Trofeul Brasovului a avut loc o reprezentatie la instrumente de suflat traditionale, unele de mult uitate: frunza, dramba, fluiere, nai si altele de care nici nu stiam ca au existat vreodata:

O demonstratie de fortza...

My new Nikon D40x power by the superb Nikkor 55-200 VR lenses:

Emi, Caprioara, Monica, Milu, Marius, Cezar... 10x !
The phots were taken in Piatra Mare, while I was trying to find the trail for Brasov Trophy.

Windy mountain

Definetly Ciucas deserves the names of windy mountain. Last winter the wind chill was sooo strong that we had to go back at the middle of our hike, freezed. It was below -20 C because of the wind. This time the wind was sometimes above 130km/h, but it was just fine to test my new K-jacket. And the weather was about 14 C this time, in the middle of july.

So one week ago, instead of going to Fagaras, I've arrived in Ciucas. The testground of my new equipment and the faithfull partners in my future hikes: the new Nikon D40x, and the Millet K jacket.

This is not a ballet, but an open air wind tunnel :D

Classic bike: Poiana Brasov - Tampa

Two days ago, a classic mountain bike from Brasov - old route to Poiana Brasov and back over Tampa to Brasov,on the "classical" forrest route. This route is becoming day by day more and more difficult, with the errosion of the soil, the savage forrest exploatation and with the storms which flattens the trees over the walking path. It was very hot and tireding, we've got great times, but we were totally exhausted. So, we didn't had to much nerve to take photos and in addition we've heard the bears walking around.

Swan lake

Back to Balea lake, on our way home from Buila: Ana, Eliza and Iulia.

Buila

Buila, in Capatanii Mt. it surely holds its nickname of the "small Piatra Craiului". A ridge of about 12km long, with some quite wild hiking areas, a lot of vegetation and limestone walls and cracks.

Saturday we did a long hike, close to 30km of walk, together with Emi and three ladies of the mountain : Andreea, Crissa and Iuliana.
