Lords of the bike

Last Sunday we've planned a great tour on Piatra Craiului. The stormy weather had changed our plans, so here we are in Zarnesti with the mountainbike; for me it was the second day in the row.



Daniel is very proud ! We've did so many hikes together, but it was the first time with the bike.





Our tour looks very interesting, but we had to push the bike almost all the way up, sometimes through the rain. I never remember to push the bike so much, more than an hour, at one time.



But the beauty of the landscape quickly made us forget all the efforts:

Sometimes it's great to have a break and take your time admiring the peacefullnes of the place:

We don't quit, we ride !

Yes, it's very steep and wet, you need a good bike down there !

After the nice ride up on Poiana Marului, we descended on Barsa Fierului, in order to ride up and down another 30 km. in total.

The bottomline: the places are very beautiful, we only have to find the right way up from Poiana Marului village, in order to climb on the bike (we already have enough hints to do it again). And surely it's a great pleasure to ride down to Zarnesti over the ridge.
